You can always assume the tone of your neighbourhood is dropping when you spot your first sporty 4×4 taking up a disproportionate amount of your street. So hats off to the enterprising resident of Leabourne Road who posted this on the window of a gleaming white Mitsubishi SUV. He or she is welcome to come and mete out the same treatment to the even larger vehicle that is normally parked near my flat.

Right but repulsive… I hate 4×4s, but hate sanctimonious hippies even more. I can’t imagine this sort of approach makes many people behave in a more eco-friendly fashion, quite the reverse I suspect.

To be fair, I reckon there’s a backstory to this that has nothing to do with 4×4s. Otherwise the notice would mention something like ‘the planet’ or ‘the environment’ rather than ‘local residents’.

I abhor SUV’s and the twats that drive them. They seem to be getting bigger, too - the SUV’s and the twats that drive them…

this looks like a great sticker to put on cars that park, blocking the pavement (preferably applied using Super Glue)!
